Abstract Primary small cell carcinoma of the breast (SmCC) is an extremely rare malignancy of the breast. It is characterized by difficult diagnosis, high malignancy and poor prognosis. In clinical practice, SmCC is usually treated with reference to small cell carcinoma of the lung, but SmCC itself has special biological characteristics and clinical characteristics. In this paper, the case data of three cases of breast small cell malignant tumor admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University from January 2010 to January 2020 were reviewed. Literature reports related to SmCC in recent 20 years at home and abroad were retrieved. In order to improve the understanding of this disease, literature review was carried out on the diagnosis, pathological features and treatment plan of this disease.
