Intervention effect of comfort nursing based on FMEA mode on skin pruritus of hemodialysis patients#br# |

Abstract Objective To explore the intervention effect of comfort nursing based on failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) mode on skin pruritus of hemodialysis patients, and to provide evidence for clinical treatment. Methods A total of 80 patients with hemodialysis in Bozhou People’s Hospital of Anhui Province from August 2017 to August 2020 were selected. They were divided into the two groups, according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given comfort nursing based on FMEA mode. The degree of pruritus and satisfaction compared between the two groups after intervention, and the scores of self-rating depression scale (SDS) and self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) before and after intervention were compared. Results The degree of pruritus in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). After intervention, SDS and SAS scores in the two groups were lower than those before intervention, and which of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). The satisfaction rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Comfort nursing based on FMEA mode has significant effect on skin pruritus of hemodialysis patients, which can reduce patients’ bad mood and improve their physical and mental health, worthy of clinical application.
