Effect of Western medicine combined with immunosorbent therapy on systemic lupus erythematosus nephritis and its effect on inflammatory cytokines and immune function |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of Western medicine combined with immunosorbent therapy on systemic lupus erythematosus nephritis (SLEN) and its effect on inflammatory cytokines and immune functions. Methods Forty-eight patients diagnosed by pathology with SLEN in Chengdu Military General Hospital from January 2013 to August 2017 were selected and divided into observation group and control group according to random number table method, with 24 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Glucocorticoid combined with Cyclophosphamide, the observation group was treated with immunosorbent therapy on the basis of the control group treatment. The course of treatment in both groups was 6 months. Before and after treatment, the renal function, serum indices, immune function and inflammatory factors were compared between the two groups. Results There was statistically significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups, and the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the renal function indices (Scr, BUN, 24 h urine protein) and the serum indices (ANA and ds-DNA antibodies) were lower than those before treatment in the two groups, and the renal function indices and the serum indices of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the contents of complement C3 and C4 were higher than those before treatment in the two groups, and the contents of complement C3 and C4 in the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). The levels of interleukin (IL)-6, IL-8, TNF-α and IgA, IgM, IgG were lower than those before treatment, and the levels of IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α and IgA, IgM, IgG in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion There is better effecacy of Cyclophosphamide and Glucocorticoid combined with immunoadsorption in the treatment of patients with SLEN, thereby scavenging ANA and ds-DNA antibodies of patients, improving renal function and inflammatory response, and it can improve immune function, that is worthy of clinical promotion.
