The clinical study of single energy image in arterial enhancement of abdominal artery |

Abstract Objevtive To study the enhancement effect of spectral imaging in arterial enhancement of abdominal artery. Methods 44 patients underwent contrast enhanced abdominal CTA with spectral imaging in Beijing Friendship Hospital,Capital Medical University from October 2015 to May 2016 were collected. Discovery CT750HD scanner was use among patients of the group A (60 keV, 40 cases), group B (70 keV, 40 cases) and group C (40 cases) mixed energy (140 kVp). The amount of the contrast agent was 350 mgI/kg, the CT value, SD value of the abdominal aorta, proper hepatic artery and splenic artery were measured, and the CNR attenuation value of the arteria hepatica propria was calculated, then those results were compared with a paired t-test. Results The CNR of the proper hepatic artery and the CT value of the group A was significantly increased compared with that of group B and group C, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The use of spectral images at the 60 keV energy level can significantly improve the contrast enhancement degree in the artery compared with the conventional 140 kVp and 70 keV images.
