Analysis of medication regularity of Professor Huang Chunlin in treatment of gout based on data mining |

Abstract Objective To analyze medication rule of Professor Huang Chunlin in the treatment of hyperuricemia with traditional Chinese medicine inheritance assistant system software. Methods 72 cases of gout and prescription 256 treated by Professor Huang Chunlin in Guangdong Province Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital during the period from November 2015 to December 2016 were input onto "TCM Inheritance Assistance Platform". The drug used characteristics and prescription-formulating principle of Professor Huang Chunlin in the treatment of gout were summarized by the unsupervised data mining method of association rules, improved mutual information method, complex system entropy clustering. Results A total of 256 prescriptions were analyzed for 72 patients with gout enrolled in the study. The frequency of drug use and the association between drugs were determined. The basic prescriptions and 8 new prescriptions including plantago asiatica, smilax glabra, rhizoma atractylodis, cortex phellodendri and etc. for the treatment of gout of Professor Huang Chunlin were excavated. Conclusion Clearing away heat and promoting diuresis, eliminating phlegm and freeing channels, tonifying the liver and kidney as the basic treatment, Professor Huang Chunlin selected coix seed, cortex phellodendri, achyranthes bidentata, smilax glabra, rhizoma atractylodis, radix astragali, radix rehmanniae and other Chinese herbs to treat patients with the integration of syndrome identifying and disease diagnosing. The traditional Chinese medicine inheritance assistance system will play a very important auxiliary role in inheriting the experience of famous TCM doctor, summarizing the experience of clinicians and finding new drugs of traditional Chinese medicine.
