| Curative effect of Ruanjian Sanjie Prescription combined with bubble hardening in the treatment of lower limb venous ulcer |

Abstract Objective To investigate the curative effect of Ruanjian Sanjie Prescription combined with bubble hardening in the treatment of lower limb venous ulcer. Methods Seventy-nine cases of primary varicose veins of lower limbs with active ulcer patients admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Gansu Province from June 2014 to September 2019 were selected and randomly divided into observation group (39 cases) and control group (40 cases). Both groups were given preoperative examination and foam sclerotherapy, on basis of which, the observation group was given external application of Ruanjian Sanjie Prescription. The course was one month. The patients were followed up, the chronic venous insufficiency questionnaire of quality of life (CIVIQ) and venous disease clinical severity score (VCSS) were used respectively to assess the scores of CIVIQ and VCSS on admission and at discharge, 1 month, 6 months after discharge. The therapeutic effect and complications related to the operation of the two groups were observed. Results At different time points, the scores of CIVIQ in the observation group and control group were increased (F = 13.242, 7.543, P ＜ 0.05). The VCSS score in the observation group was decreased continuously (F = 12.009, P ＜ 0.05). All patients were successfully followed up to the end of the follow-up period, and observation group was significantly better than the control group (P ＜ 0.05). The proportion of the swelling pain in the 1 month period and the proportion of venous inflammation, infection of the wound, and the swelling of the operative area in the 6 months period were significantly lower than those in control group (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion Ruanjian Sanjie Prescription combined with bubble hardening in the treatment of lower limb venous ulcer can obviously improve the conditions of ulcer wound and the surrounding skin blood supply, reduce the incidence of complications, and improve their quality of life.
