| Practice and reflection on the freshman seminar course under the circumstance of transformation and development in military medical university |

Abstract The freshman seminar is a special education and discussion course for the freshmen with a form of small class, which aims to help freshmen to change their roles from middle school students to college students and to adapt to college life. Freshman seminar has become one of the first lessons for many college freshmen, but there is not much practice in the medical university. Our department has undertaken the freshman seminar course of "diet, nutrition and health" in Army Medical University, and created a teaching idea and mode regarding both "adaptability and academic" features. The article aims to summarize the teaching content, form and assessment mode of freshman seminar and provide evidence for the freshman seminar construction under the circumstance of transformation and development in our university.
