Abstract Objective To establish fingerprint methods in Yinyanjing Lotion by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Methods A Hypersil ODS2 column (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 μm) was used, the flow rate was 1.0 mL/min. The mobile phase was acetonitrile and 0.1% phosphoric acid solution with gradient elution at 25℃. The flow-rate was 1.0 mL/min and the detection wavelength was set at 210 nm and 280 nm. Results The common modes for the HPLC fingerprints were set up by ensuring 33 common peaks in the chromatograms. 5 chemical constituents were analyzed qualitatively. Conclusion Dual-wavelength chromatographic fingerprint can realize the analysis of a formula as a whole. This method is sensitive, accurate and simple, and can be used for the quality control of Yinyanjing Lotion.
