Effect of Dexmedetomidine combined with Ropivacaine on hemodynamics of hypertensive patients underwent operation with local anesthesia |

Abstract Objective To observe the effect of Dexmedetomidine combined with Ropivacaine on hemodynamics of hypertensive patients underwent selective operation with local anesthesia. Methods 60 hypertensive female who underwent selective breast mass (diameter<2.5 cm, parts≤3) resection in Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University from March 2015 to March 2016 were randomly divided into three groups. Patients in group A were given intravenous administration of Dexmedetomidine combined with 0.5% Ropivacaine local anesthesia; patients in group B were given intravenous administration of Dexmedetomidine combined 1% Lidocaine local anesthesia; patients in group C were given intravenous administration of saline combined with 0.5% Ropivacaine local anesthesia. The hemodynamic changes were recorded at the time that patients went into the operating room (T0), beginning of the operation (T1), 15 min after the start of the operation (T2) and the end of the operation (T3); while the analgesic onset time, analgesic effect, time of duration and adverse reactions of the patients in the three groups were compared. Results The systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and heart rate of patients in group A and B at the time point T1-T3 were significantly lower than those at T0 (P < 0.05). Compared with group C, the systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and heart rate of patients in group A and B were significantly lower at the time point T1-T3 (P < 0.05). Compared with group B, the anesthesia onset time and duration of analgesia were longer, and the VAS scores were lower at 4, 6, 8 h after operation in both of the group A and C (P < 0.05). Conclusion Dexmedetomidine combined with Ropivacaine local anesthesia for breast mass resection in patients with hypertension is a safe and accurate method, which has more stable hemodynamics and better postoperative analgesic effect.
