| Analysis of Gong Tingxian's thought on health preservation |

Abstract Gong Tingxian, a famous TCM physician in the Ming Dynasty, and also the ancient person who kept in good health. Whose representative works are Shou Shi Bao Yuan and Wan Bing Hui Chun. He pays attention to “preventive treatment of disease” and old people health care method, his elucidation of the mechanism of aging is unique. This paper researches the nursing thoughts of Gong Tingxian from cultivating the primordial qi, spleen and kidney's recuperative medical care, mental health, food therapy, physical exercise, etc. The thought is mainly embodied in health and disease preventive prevention is to maintain and nursing of primordial qi, spleen and kidney prevention, keeping a pure heart and few desires, having a suitable diet, regulating of breathing to maintain primordial qi, etc. Through the above research, we hope to have some enlightenment to the modern health care cause, especially the old health care.
