Practice and reflection on diagnostics of traditional Chinese medicine based on theoretical principles of social constructivism |

Abstract Diagnostics of traditional Chinese medicine covers diagnostic methods of TCM and syndrome differentiation of TCM. The theory of diagnostic methods of TCM is abstractly and complicated with poor logic. Syndrome differentiation of TCM summarize and analyze sufficient clinical data with the theory of TCM. We establish the scientific educational concept of students centeredness with teachers serving as guides during teaching stages. Based on the analysis of the theoretical principles of social constructivism and the characteristics of diagnostics of TCM, this paper examines the application of different teaching modes in different teaching stages; the construction of the knowledge system should be paid attention at the stage of basic theoretical studying. Training of dialectical thinking ability should be trained at the formation stage of analysis; exercise four skills of TCM, clinical diagnosis and dialectical thinking ability should be trained at the training stage of clinical application skills.
