Effects of Danshen Chuanxiongqin Injection for the indexes of hemorheology, blood coagulation and oxidative stress after treatment with hyperbaric oxygen in elderly patients with cerebral embolism |

Abstract Objective To investigate the efficacy of Danshen Chuanxiongqin Injection for the indexes of hemorheology, blood coagulation and oxidative stress after treatment with hyperbaric oxygen in elderly patients with cerebral embolism. Methods Eighty-six patients with cerebral embolism receiving treatment with hyperbaric oxygen in Affiliated Hospital of Yan′an University from January 2016 to January 2017 were randomly divided into observation group and control group by random number table method, with 43 cases in each group. All patients were given hyperbaric oxygen therapy, on basis of which, the observation group was added with Danshen Chuanxiongqin Injection. The treatment time of the two groups was 15 days. After treatment, the scores of national institutes of health stroke scale (NIHSS) and Barthel scores in the two groups were recorded, and the clinical efficacy was evaluated. Before and after treatment, the levels of blood coagulation indexes (prothrombin time, activated partial thromboplastin time, thrombin time, international normalized ratio), hemorheology indexes (whole blood high shear viscosity, plasma viscosity, haematocrit, fibrinogen, platelet adhesion rate), and oxidative stress indexes (superoxide dismutase, methane dicarboxylic aldehyde, total antioxidant capacity, glutathione peroxidase) in the two groups were detected. Results The scores of NIHSS in the observation group were lower than those of control group, Barthel scores were higher than those of control group (P < 0.05). The total effective rate of observation group was higher than that of control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of blood coagulation indexes, hemorheology indexes and oxidative stress indexes in the two groups were significantly improved compared with those before treatment, and the improvement of observation group was better than that of control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Danshen Chuanx?鄄iongqin Injection combined with hyperbaric oxygen in the treatment of cerebral embolism has better effects, which can significantly improve the hemorheology indexes, and it is worthy of further exploration.
