| Analysis about use of glucocorticoid drug in inpatients of our hospital in 2017 |

Abstract Objective To investigate the application of glucocorticoid drugs with the existing problems in Guangzhou General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Command ("our hospital" for short), in order to provide a reference for the clinical use of glucocorticoid drugs. Methods 1200 inpatient glucocorticoid prescriptions were randomly selected from January to December in 2017, the using type and the medication of the glucocorticoid drugs were counted, and the unreasonable prescriptions were analyzed. Results 6 kinds of glucocorticoid drugs were used in the 1200 inpatient glucocorticoid prescriptions, including 1 injection, 3 kinds of troche, 1 powder-injection and 1 inhalation, the most commonly used drug were Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate (71.42%) and Prednnisone Acetate (19.50%). According to the comment of prescriptions, 213 irrational prescriptions amounted to 17.79% among 1200 prescriptions, the inappropriate indications amounted to 45.07% and the inappropriate usage amounted to 23.32%. Conclusion The monitoring and management about the rational use of glucocorticoid drugs should be strengthened in order to reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, and promote the rational use of clinic.
