Quality control of triage in diagnostic procedure for emergency intelligent triage system |

Abstract Objective To explore the impact of quality control management on the triage procedure of emergency medical intelligent triage system. Methods The data of emergency medical intelligent triage system in the Emergency Department of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University from February 28, 2014 to February 28, 2017 was collected, and they were divided into three phases every 12 months (phase 1 was from February 28, 2014 to February 28, 2015; phase 2 was from March 1, 2015 to February 28, 2016; phase 3 was from March 1, 2016 to February 28, 2017. The usage of the system was reported by the quality control management team regularly, and the situation was discussed, analyzed and supervised by the emergency department medical staff. The overall use qualified rate and the reason of failure rate ratio were observed in the process. Results From phase 1 to 3 in the emergency diagnosis system, the overall use qualified rate increased significantly (P < 0.01), the reason of failure rate ratio changed significantly (P < 0.01). Conclusion In the application process of emergency diagnosis and intelligent triage system, quality control management team can improve the triage procedure and the efficiency of emergency work.
