| Analysis of the new theory of andrology in traditional Chinese medicine |

Abstract In recent years, there have been some new understandings and theories about the pathogeny of anatomy physiology and disease in TCM male department. For example, the physiological understanding of “sperm chamber is man's unique organ” “internal and external kidney theory”. There are new understandings of etiology and treatment like “physical fitness”“the treatment of impotence by replenishing kidney and activating blood”, differentiating and treating male infertility from “microscopic aspect” “kidney deficiency, wet heat, stasis” and so on. This paper analyzes the new theory of anatomy physiology of male department, new theory of etiological differentiation and treatment of andrology, as well as the new discoveries of related basic researches, which should promote the development of andrology in traditional Chinese medicine.
