Abstract  Objective To explore the nursing effect of risk management on early interventional therapy for acute cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 163 patients with acute cerebral infarction who received early interventional therapy in Jiangsu Provincial People’s Hospital from January to August 2021 were selected as subjects. The patients were divided into observation group (82 cases) and control group (81 cases) by random number table method. The control group was given routine nursing management, and the observation group was given risk management based on the control group. The National Institute of Health stroke score scale (NIHSS), exercise of self-careagency scale and Barthel index were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, NIHSS scores of both groups were lower than before intervention, and observation group was lower than control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); exercise of self-careagency scale scores in both groups were higher than before intervention, and observation group was higher than control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); Barthel index scores of the two groups were higher than before intervention, and the observation group was higher than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Risk management can improve the neurological function, exercise of self-careagency scale and daily living ability of patients with acute cerebral infarction after early interventional therapy, which has important application significance.
