Abstract  Objective To explore the application effects of integrated nursing intervention in urethroplasty for congenital hypospadias in children. Methods A total of 128 children with congenital hypospadias who received urethroplasty were selected as the study subjects from February 2020 to June 2021 in Department of Pediatric Urology Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. According to random number table method, they were divided into control group (64 cases) and observation group (64 cases), the control group received routine nursing, and the observation group received routine nursing + integrated nursing intervention, the success rate of operation, improvement of negative emotion, postoperative complications, and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The success rate of operation in observation group was higher than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05); the scores of self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) in the two groups were lower than those before nursing, and the scores of SAS and SDS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05); the incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group were lower than that in the control group, and nursing satisfaction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion In the perioperative period of urethroplasty for children with congenital hypospadias, the adoption of integrated nursing intervention can improve the success rate of surgery, improve the negative emotions of children, reduce the risk of postoperative complications, and also improve clinical nursing satisfaction.
