Abstract Advanced gastric cancer is a difficult point in clinical diagnosis and treatment. Based on the summary and analysis of Professor Xu Hefen’s clinical experience in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer, this paper holds that advanced gastric cancer belongs to the deficiency of origin and the excess of sign, the deficiency of both qi and yin is the main cause, and the cancer toxin is the sign. It damages qi and yin and has the characteristics of multiple blood stasis and stagnation. The treatment includes invigorating the spleen and kidney, supplementing qi and yin, strengthening the body and strengthening the foundation, clearing away cancer toxin, removing blood stasis and removing stagnation. The combination of Chinese and Western medicine and the treatment of both body and mind can turn decay into magic.
