Abstract:Colorectal cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors of the digestive tract. Its incidence and mortality are increasing year by year. Because its early symptoms are not obvious, it is mostly in the advanced stage when it is discovered, leading to poor prognosis and survival. Long non-coding RNA is an RNA molecule, which consists of more than 200 nucleotides in length and lacks protein-coding functions, but it has a crucial regulatory role at the level of epigenetic, transcription, post-transcriptional. Studies find that long non-coding RNA is closely related to the occurrence and development of colorectal cancer, the underlying mechanism mainly includes direct binding with RNA, DNA, and protein to play a biological role. Therefore, this article describes the research progress of long non-coding RNA in colorectal cancer, which can provide a theoretical basis and practical direction for a specific diagnosis, targeted therapy and prognostic evaluation of colorectal cancer.
