Abstract：Abdominal diagnosis is an important method for disease diagnosis, which can more directly and objectively distinguish etiology, pathogenesis and location. Abdominal diagnosis is also one of the effective means to guide principle-method-recipe-medicines and treat diseases, and it has more important practical significance for pediatric clinical practice. Abdominal diagnosis should be performed quickly, accurately, and in any position in pediatrics. It is emphasized to distinguish deficiency and excess, cold and heat, qi and blood and verify the essence of syndrome from abdominal shape, abdominal skin and abdominal strength. At the same time, the combination of abdominal diagnosis and abdominal external treatment is beneficial to each other. Three cases of functional abdominal pain, precocious puberty and tourette syndrome in children are reported, which proves that abdominal diagnosis is an important basis for clinical syndrome differentiation and opens up a new idea of abdominal external treatment in pediatrics.
