Meta-analysis of the association between long Non-coding RNA-PVT1 expression and the prognosis and clinicopathology of digestive system malignant tumors #br#

[Abstract] Objective To study the relationship between long non coding RNA-plasmacytoma variant translocation 1 (PVT1) and the clinicopathological features and prognosis of digestive system malignancies. Methods The Web of Science, EMBASE, and PubMed were searched, the search ended on January 2021. According to the retrieval strategy and inclusion and exclusion criteria, the literatures were screened and the relevant data were extracted. RevMan v5.3 software was used for meta analysis. Results A total of 32 studies involving 2873 patients were included. The highly expressed PVT1 levels were potentially connected with poorer overall survival (HR = 1.71, 95%CI:1.54-1.89, P < 0.000 01) and disease free survival (HR = 1.95, 95%CI:1.67-2.29, P < 0.000 01). Highly expressed PVT1 levels were also positively correlated with diameter of tumor (OR = 2.02, 95%CI: 1.43-2.86, P < 0.000 01),TNM stage (OR = 3.42, 95%CI: 2.86-4.08, P < 0.000 01), lymph node metastasis (OR = 3.04, 95%CI:2.41-3.84, P < 0.000 01), tumor differentiation (OR = 1.81, 95%CI:1.21-2.72, P = 0.004), distant metastasis (OR = 2.91, 95%CI:2.06-4.11, P < 0.000 01) and infiltration depth (OR = 5.19, 95%CI:3.52-7.66, P < 0.000 01). Conclusion PVT1 can be used to gauge clinicopathological characteristics and outcomes in patients withdigestive system malignant tumors.
