Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of blood purification on cardiac function in patients with acute heart failure and peripheral edema. Methods A total of 68 patients with acute heart failure and peripheral edema in Dalian Friendship Hospital, Liaoning Province from January 2018 to September 2020 were selected, and divided into group A and group B according to different treatment methods, with 34 cases in each group. Group A was treated with conventional drugs, and group B was treated with conventional drugs combined with blood purification. The clinical efficacy, heart failure markers (B-type natriuretic peptide), cardiac function (left ventricular end diastolic diameter, the left ventricular end systolic diameter, left ventricular ejection fraction) and blood gas analysis indicators (arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide, arterial partial pressure of oxygen, oxygen saturation) of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate in group B was higher than that in group A (P < 0.05); after treatment, the level of B-type natriuretic peptide in the two groups was lower than that before treatment, the level of B-type natriuretic peptide in group B after treatment was lower than that in group A (P < 0.05). After treatment, the left ventricular end diastolic diameter and the left ventricular end systolic diameter of the two groups were lower than before treatment, left ventricular ejection fraction was higher than before treatment (P < 0.05), and the left ventricular end diastolic diameter and left ventricular end systolic diameter of group B were lower than those of group A, the left ventricular ejection fraction was higher than that of group A (P < 0.05); after treatment, arterial blood carbon dioxide was lower than before treatment, arterial blood oxygen partial pressure and oxygen saturation were higher than before treatment, and arterial blood carbon dioxide in group B was lower than that in group A, arterial blood oxygen partial pressure and oxygen saturation were higher than those in group A (P < 0.05). Conclusion Blood purification is effective in the treatment of acute heart failure and peripheral edema, and the total effective rate is high. It can significantly improve the heart failure markers, cardiac function indexes and blood gas analysis indexes, which is worthy of promotion.
