Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of the nursing model led by brain-heart health managers in post-stroke sleep disorders. Methods A total of 97 patients with post-stroke sleep disorders admitted to People’s Hospital of Lu’an City in Anhui Province from January 2019 to December 2020 were selected and divided into observation group (49 cases) and control group (48 cases) according to the random number table method. Both groups were given the same treatment plan. The control group was given routine care based on the above treatments, while the observation group was given nursing model led by brain-heart health managers based on the control group. Both groups were followed up for four months to compare the sleep status, Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI), negative emotions, and stroke recurrence before and after nursing. Results The sleep latency after nursing in the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, the total sleep time was longer than that of the control group, while the number of awakenings was less than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The sleep latency after nursing of two groups were shorter than those before nursing, the total sleep time of two groups were longer than those before nursing, and the number of awakenings of two groups were less than those before nursing, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The PSQI score of two groups after nursing were lower than those before nursing, while the observation group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The anxiety and depression scores of the two groups after nursing were lower than those before nursing, while the observation group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the recurrence rate of stroke between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion The nursing model led by brain-heart health managers can significantly improve the sleep conditions and negative emotions of patients with sleep disorders after stroke, and is worthy of clinical application.
