Abstract:Objective To investigate the prevention of feeding intolerance in preterm infants by breast-milk oral care based on feedforward control. Methods A total of 80 cases of premature infants treated in Xuancheng People’s Hospital of Anhui Province from January 2016 to October 2020 were selected for the study, according to the random number table method, they were divided into observation group and control group, with 40 cases in each group, the control group was given routine care after birth, and the observation group was given breast-milk oral care based on feedforward control, all patients received continuous care until discharge. Clinical treatment, growth and feeding intolerance were compared between the two groups. Results The breastfeeding begins time, sucking function establishment time, total intestine feeding time, and hospital stay in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05); after nursing, the weight, body length and head circumference of the two groups were significantly higher than before nursing, the weight, body length, and head circumference of the observation group were higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05); the total incidence of feeding intolerance symptoms such as gastric retention, vomiting, abdominal distension, and diarrhea in patients was lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Breast-milk oral care based on feedforward control has a preventive effect on feeding intolerance of premature infants, and is helpful to promote growth and development, so it is worthy of application and promotion.
