Application of case management model based on humanistic care in continuous care of patients undergoing total hysterectomy

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of case management model based on humanistic care in continuous care of patients undergoing total hysterectomy. Methods A total of 108 patients with total hysterectomy were selected from Leshan Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Sichuan Province from July 2019 to June 2020. According to the operation time, 57 patients were divided into the observation group (July to December 2019) and 51 patients were divided into the control group (January to Tune 2017). The control group was given routine continuity care, and the observation group was combined with case management based on humanistic care, they were followed up for six months, the negative emotions and coping styles of the two groups were compared. Results After six months of follow-up, the scores of self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) in two groups were significantly lower than those in the same group at discharge, and the scores of SAS and SDS in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group (P ＜ 0.05). The scores of solving problems and seeking help were significantly higher than those of the same group at discharge (P ＜ 0.05), and the scores of self-blame and avoidance were significantly lower than those of the same group at discharge (P ＜ 0.05), the scores of problem solving and seeking help in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the scores of self-blame and avoidance were significantly lower than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion The continuous nursing of case management based on humanistic care can help to resolve the anxiety and depression of total hysterectomy patients, avoid negative coping behaviors such as self-blame and avoidance, and promote the development of positive coping methods such as solving problems and seeking help.
