Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of early nutrition intervention combined with comfort nursing in patients after abdominal surgery. Methods A total of 125 cases of abdominal surgery patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University from March 2017 to October 2018 were selected. According to the random number table method, they were divided into 64 cases in the treatment group and 61 cases in the control group. The control group was given routine nursing intervention, and the treatment group was given early nutrition intervention combined with comfort nursing. The stress response, nutritional status, gastrointestinal function, and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Results After 24 h, the heart rate (HR), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), and systolic blood pressure (SBP) of the two groups were higher than those of the same group at admission (P < 0.05). HR, DBP, and SBP of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05); one week after operation, the levels of serum albumin (ALB), prealbumin (PAB), and transferrin (TF) in the two groups were lower than those in the same group at admission (P < 0.05). The contents of ALB, PAB and TF in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05); the recovery time of bowel sounds, the time of first exhaust, and the time of first defecation in the treatment group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (P < 0.05); the total rate of adverse reactions of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Early nutrition intervention combined with comfort care can help relieve the stress response of abdominal surgery patients, improve nutritional status, promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function, and reduce the occurrence of complications.
