Abstract:Objective To investigate the rehabilitation effect of radiation extracorporeal shock wave acupoint combined with proprioceptive training for elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Methods A total of 50 elderly patients with KOA admitted to Qingdao Municipal Hospital from April 2017 to April 2019 were selected as the research objects and they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 25 cases in each group. The control group received routine rehabilitation combined with proprioceptive training, and on the basis of this, the observation group received radiation extracorboreal shock wave acupoint for continuous four weeks. Before treatment and four weeks after treatment, knee function in both groups was assessed using Lysholm knee score scale and the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities (WOMAC) osteoarthritis index scale. Tumble index, muscle strength and gait parameters were compared between the two groups. Results After four weeks of treatment, LKSS score in both groups was higher than before treatment, WOMAC osteoarthritis index scale score was lower than before treatment, and LKSS score in observation group was higher than control group, WOMAC osteoarthritis index scale score was lower than control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The fall index of the two groups was lower than that before treatment, and the peaktorque (PT) value of knee flexion muscle group and knee extensor muscle group was higher than that before treatment; the fall index of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the PT value of knee flexion muscle group and knee extensor muscle group was higher than that of the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). The step length and step speed of the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the observation group was higher than the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). Conclusion radiation extracorporeal shock wave acupoint combined with proprioceptive training is more conducive to improving knee joint function, balance ability of elderly KOA patients, and gait improvement is more obvious, which is more valuable in promoting the rehabilitation of elderly KOA patients.
