Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of nursing intervention guided by evidence-based concept in enteral nutrition support for severe patients in neurosurgery. Methods A total of 136 severe neurosurgical patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January to October 2020 were selected. According to the treatment time, the patients were divided into the experimental group (from June to October 2020) 72 cases, and the control group (from January to May 2020) 64 cases. The control group was given routine parenteral and enteral nutrition support, and the experimental group was given enteral nutrition support under the guidance of evidence-based concept. After one and two weeks of intervention, the nutritional status, complications and prognosis of the two groups were compared. Results Comparison of serum albumin (ALB) and hemoglobin (Hb) contents between two groups, time point comparison and interaction, the differences were statistically significant (all P < 0.05). Further pairwise comparison showed that the serum ALB and Hb contents of the two groups were significantly lower than before one and two weeks after the intervention, and after intervention for two weeks, serum ALB and Hb contents in two groups were significantly higher than those in the same group after intervention for one week (P < 0.05). After one and two weeks of intervention, the contents of ALB and Hb in experimental group were significantly higher than those in control group (P < 0.05). The gastrointestinal dysfunction in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The prognosis of the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Enteral nutrition support guided by the evidence-based concept is helpful to correct the nutritional status of severe patients in neurosurgery, reduce complications and improve the prognosis of patients.
