Influence of psychological intervention based on personality characteristics on mental health and quality of life of patients with post-traumatic syndrome

Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of psychological intervention based on personality characteristics in patients with post-traumatic syndrome. Methods A total of 110 patients with post-craniocerebral trauma syndrome admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from October 2017 to April 2020 were selected and divided into experimental group and control group with 55 cases each according to the random number table method. Excluding the falling patients, 53 cases were actually included in the experimental group and 47 cases were actually included in the control group. The control group was given conventional therapeutic nursing and psychological intervention, and the experimental group was combined with psychological intervention based on personality characteristics. Follow-up for six months, mental health status, quality of life, and nursing satisfaction of two groups were compared. Results After six months of follow-up, the scores of somatization, depression, anxiety, phobia, psychosis and SCL-90 of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05); the scores of SCL-90 items and total score in two groups were significantly lower than before the intervention, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The physical function, mental function score and overall health score of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05); the quality of life scores of the two groups were significantly higher than those before the intervention, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Psychological intervention based on personality characteristics can help improve the mental health of patients with post-traumatic syndrome, enhance the quality of life of patients, and increase psychological care satisfaction.
