Abstract:Objective To explore the influences of scenario simulation education on the psychological state and work adaptation of nursing students in internship in the operating room. Methods A total of 33 nursing students from seven groups were selected to take the internship in the operating room of Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University from July 2019 to January 2020. The groups were divided into experimental group (three groups with 16 students) and control group (four groups with 17 students) according to random number table method. The control group was given routine teaching, while the experimental group was given scenario simulation education for early intervention one week before the start of internship. The internship duration of both groups was four weeks. Symptom check list 90 (SCL-90) was used to evaluate the psychological state of the two groups before and after the internship, and the job adjustment disorder scale was used to evaluate the job adjustment of the two groups after the internship. Results After the internship, the SCL-90 scores of the experimental group were not significantly different from that before the internship (P < 0.05). After the internship, the scores of SCL-90 in the control group were higher than before, and those in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). After the internship, the scores of the job adjustment disorder scale in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Scenario simulation education can help nursing students in internship to establish psychological preparation for the special environment and work pressure in the operating room, better understand the various surgical instruments and equipment and nursing operations in the operating room, so as to reduce the occurrence of negative psychological state and work adjustment obstacle of nursing students during the internship.
