Abstract:Objective To analyze the relationship between coping style and self-perceived burden (SPB) in patients with moyamoya disease (MD) after revascularization. Methods A total of 60 cases of MD patients admitted to Changhai Hospital of Shanghai from January 2017 to January 2020 were prospectively included, all patients were received revascularization for treatment; the coping styles (assessed by simple coping style questionnaire [SCSQ]) and SPB (assessed by self perceived burden scale [SPBS]) of the patients were evaluated after operation; the relationship between SPB and coping style of MD patients was analyzed. Results The total score of SPBS score in 60 cases of MD patients after operation was 24.00 (20.00, 30.00) points, of which the scores of physical burden, economic burden and emotional burden were 14.00 (13.00, 15.00) points, 2.00 (2.00, 2.00) points and 8.50 (7.25, 9.00) points, respectively; the scores of negative coping and positive coping were 16.00 (14.00, 17.00) points and 15.00 (14.50, 16.00) points respectively in 60 cases of MD patients after operation; through the general bivariate Spearman correlation test analysis, the results showed that the negative coping score of MD patients was positively correlated with each dimension and total score of SPBS (r > 0, P < 0.05), positive coping was negatively correlated with each dimension and total score of SPBS (r < 0, P < 0.05). Conclusion The coping style of MD patients after revascularization is related to SPB, with the change from negative coping to positive coping, the degree of SPB in patients are gradually decreased, it is suggested that clinical intervention should be carried out from the aspect of coping style of patients, by leading the positive coping of patients, the degree of SPB in MD patients after revascularization can be reduced.
