Abstract:Objective To discuss the influencing factors of the professional satisfaction of medical staff in affiliated hospitals of universities under the background of strengthening the party building of public hospitals and their correlation with the degree of union recognition. Methods In May 2020, a scale designed by the research team was used to survey 408 first-line medical staff in four affiliated hospitals of a university in Beijing to assess the factors that affect the professional satisfaction of medical staff and the correlation with the union recognition. Results There were statistically significant differences in the professional satisfaction of medical staff with different ages, working years, professional titles and welfare benefits (P < 0.05). Working >1-5 years (OR = 2.730) and working >10-20 years (OR = 1.843), high professional titles (OR = 6.318), and satisfaction with welfare benefits (OR = 7.067) were risk factor of occupational satisfaction (P < 0.05). The results of Spearman correlation analysis showed that occupational satisfaction was positively correlated with the recognition of the role of the trade union, the frequency of participation in trade union activities, and the awareness of rights protection (r > 0, P < 0.01). Conclusion The labor unions of affiliated hospitals of universities play an important role in improving the professional satisfaction of medical staff. The labor unions must actively accept the leadership of the party committee, actively perform their participation and construction functions, continuously improve their ability to perform their duties, build harmonious labor relations, and be the mothers of employees in the new era.
