Abstract：Objective To explore the impact of health salons on the health literacy and blood pressure control effect of hypertensive patients in the community. Methods From January to October 2019, a total of 224 patients with hypertension in the community who were admitted to Dezhou People’s Hospital, Shandong Province, were selected and divided into the intervention group and the control group using a random number table method, with 112 cases in each group. The control group was given regular health education, while the intervention group was combined with health salon intervention. The health literacy and blood pressure levels of the two groups of patients were compared after intervention. Results After intervention, the completion rates of the two groups of basic knowledge and concepts, health methods and behaviors, basic skills, scientific outlook on health, basic medical treatment and health information were higher than those of the same group before the intervention, and the completion rates of chronic disease prevention and safety and first aid in the intervention group were higher than those of the same group before the intervention, and the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). The completion rate of basic knowledge and concepts, health methods and behaviors, basic skills, scientific outlook on health, chronic disease prevention, and health information in the intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P ＜ 0.05); there was no statistically significant difference in the completion rate of basic medical treatment between the two groups (P ＞ 0.05). After intervention, the systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure of the two groups were lower than the same group before the intervention, while the intervention group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion The health salon helps to promote the development of the health literacy level of hypertensive patients in the community and improve the effect of blood pressure control.
