Abstract:Objective To analyze the psychological stress (PS) status in patients with gastroscopic biopsy and its influencing factors. Methods From February 2019 to February 2020, 190 patients who selectively received gastroscopic biopsy in Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical College were selected as study objects, 30 minutes before examination, symptom check list-90 (SCL-90) was used to evaluate the PS status of patients. Baseline data questionnaire was designed to inquire and record relevant baseline data of patients. The influencing factors that lead to poor PS status of patients with endoscopic biopsy were analyzed. Results Among the 190 patients with gastroscopic biopsy, 63 cases (33.16%) had poor PS status. There were significant differences in educational level, psychological counseling before examination, coping style and social support between the two groups (P < 0.05). Logistics regression analysis showed that junior high school degree or below (OR = 5.450, 95%CI:2.949-10.073), routine psychological counseling before examination (OR = 66.249, 95%CI:17.315-253.479), negative coping (OR = 3.778, 95%CI:1.955-7.300) and low social support (OR = 2.645, 95%CI:1.419-4.930) were the influencing factors of poor PS status in patients with gastroscopic biopsy (P < 0.05). Conclusion The PS status of patients with gastroscopic biopsy is generally poor, which may be related to factors such as education level, psychological counseling before examination, coping style and social support. Targeted intervention program should be performed clinically according to this, in order to improve the PS status of patients with gastroscopic biopsy.
