Abstract:Clinical experience of Professor Zhang Binghou in the treatment of refractory gout is unique. The main causes he considered are improper diet and exogenous pathogenic factors invasion. The pathological factors of dampness-heat, toxic heat, blood stasis and turbidity toxin are involved in the pathogenesis. The body surface and meridian, bones and joints are the disease location. The spleen, stomach and kidney are the mainly involving zang-fu organs. The deficiency of spleen and kidney are the root cause of disease. His characteristics of clinical diagnosis and treatment for the disease are as followed: the syndrome and disease differentiation are combined, the treatment is by stages; the special drugs are chosen to dispel pathogenic factors; the insect drugs are chosen to dredge collateral; taking good care of daily life is to prevent recurrence.
