Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of self-disclosure training in end stage renal disease (ESRD) maintenance hemodialysis patients. Methods A total of 120 ESRD maintenance hemodialysis patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2018 to June 2019 were selected as subjects. They were divided into 62 cases in the treatment group and 58 cases in the control group by random number table method. The control group was given maintenance hemodialysis routine nursing intervention, and the treatment group was combined with self-disclosure training on the basis of the control group. Intervention for 12 weeks, the self-perceived burden and quality of life score between the two groups were compared. Results After 12 weeks of intervention, the self-perceived burden scores of patients of the two groups were significantly lower than those before the intervention. The total scores of emotional burden, physical burden, and self-feeling burden of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were all statistically significant (all P < 0.05). After 12 weeks of intervention, the scores of kidney disease targeted areas, general health-related quality of life and kidney disease quality of life instrument of the two groups were higher than those before the intervention and the treatment group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were all statistically significant (all P < 0.05). Conclusion Self-disclosure training can help relieve the burden of self-feeling in ESRD maintenance hemodialysis patients and improve the quality of life.
