Abstract：Both disciplines and specialties have undertaken the important task of personnel training in colleges and universities, the two are closely related and complementary. The coordinated development of disciplines and specialties will be extremely helpful to improve the quality and level of colleges and universities and become an important measure to realize the connotative development. This paper analyzes the research progress in the integration of disciplines and specialties in traditional Chinese medicine colleges and universities, summarizes the problems, combines the construction practice, takes the discipline of traditional Chinese medicine as an example, to innovate and explore the integrated construction path of disciplines and specialties in traditional Chinese medicine, strengthen the intersection of disciplines and industries, promote the benign interaction between scientific research and teaching, perfect the system of scientific research innovation and achievement transformation, realize the “co-cultivation + co-research + win-win” integrated construction of disciplines and specialties under the new background, and explore effective strategies for the coordinated development of disciplines and specialties to improve the quality of traditional Chinese medicine personnel training.
