Abstract:Objective To investigate the self-efficacy of pelvic floor muscle exercise in young postoperative survivors of cervical cancer and to analyze its influencing factors, in order to provide a reference for the further formulation of accurate pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation. Methods A total of 105 young postoperative survivors who underwent radical resection of cervical cancer in a grade 3A cancer hospital in Xinjiang region from January to July 2020 were selected as the research subjects. The self-designed general information questionnaire, broome pelvic muscle self-efficacy scale (BPMSES) and pelvic floor distress inventory short form (PFDI-20) were used to investigate the current situation of the subjects. The correlation between pelvic floor dysfunction and self-efficacy of pelvic floor muscle exercise in young postoperative survivors with cervical cancer were analyzed. Results The total score of self-efficacy of pelvic floor muscle exercise in 105 young postoperative survivors of cervical cancer were (103.11±26.06) points, and pelvic floor dysfunction were 12.50(4.17, 22.40) points. There were statistically significant differences in scores of the self-efficacy of pelvic floor muscle exercise among young postoperative survivors with cervical cancer in different age, residence, occupation and marital status (all P < 0.05). The expected self-efficacy and total scores of pelvic floor muscle exercise in young postoperative survivors with cervical cancer were positively correlated with urination, defecation, pelvic organ prolapse and pelvic floor dysfunction total score. The expected results were positively correlated with urination, pelvic organ prolapse and pelvic floor dysfunction total score (all P < 0.05). The results of multiple stepwise linear regression analysis showed that pelvic organ prolapse, marital status, residence and defecation were the influencing factors of pelvic floor muscle exercise self-efficacy in young postoperative survivors with cervical cancer (P < 0.05), which cumulative explanatory self-efficacy score of pelvic floor muscle exercise was 18.3%. Conclusion Young postoperative survivors with cervical cancer of self-efficacy pelvic floor muscle exercise scores are generally high, medical staff should be combined with young postoperative survivors with cervical cancer pelvic floor of common complications and unique psychological characteristics to develop targeted nursing intervention measures, by guiding the active coping ways to prevent or reduce the occurrence of pelvic floor dysfunction, improve patient quality of life after surgery.
