Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of laparoscopy combined with endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) in the treatment of gastrointestinal submucosal tumor (SMT). Methods A total of 100 SMT patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University from May 2018 to May 2020 were selected as the research subjects. According to the surgical methods, they were divided into the control group and the research group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group received simple laparoscopy resection of SMT, while the research group received EUS assisted laparoscopy resection of SMT. Gastrointestinal mucosal function, incision length, operation duration, intraoperative blood loss, total length of hospital stay and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in pepsinogen (PG) Ⅰ, PG Ⅱ, PGR, and G-17 levels of the two groups (P > 0.05). After treatment, levels of PG Ⅰand PGR of the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the research group was higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significance (all P < 0.05); levels of PG Ⅱand G-17 of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the research group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significance (all P < 0.05). The incision length and intraoperative blood loss in the research group were smaller than those in the control group; the operation duration and total length of hospital stay were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significance (all P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in total incidence of complications between the two groups(P > 0.05). Conclusion Dual-mirror combined therapy can give full play to each other’s advantages and promote the recovery of gastrointestinal mucosal function in SMT patients. It not only plays a significant therapeutic effect, but also helps to ensure the safety of treatment for patients, and has significant clinical application value.
