Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of filiform-fire needle combined with external application of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Methods One hundred and twenty patients with knee osteoarthritis admitted to Sanhe Hospital of Hebei Province from February 2019 to March 2020 were selected as the subjects. According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into observation group (60 cases) and control group (60 cases). The observation group was treated with filiform-fire needle combined with external application of traditional Chinese medicine, and the control group was treated with filiform-fire needle combined with orally Diclofenac Sodium Sustained-release Tablets. Fifteen days was as a course of treatment. The knee score of Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) and Western Ontario and McMaster University osteoarthritis index (WOMAC) in the two groups were observed before and after treatment, and the syndrome efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine between the two groups was evaluated. Results After treatment, the HSS scores of the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the WOMAC scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Filiform-fire needle combined with external application of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis has a more significant and fast effect, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
