Abstract:Objective To study the mechanism of the main drugs of Heidou Formula in the treatment of eczema. Methods Drug components, corresponding targets and disease-related genes were obtained through relevant online databases (traditional Chinese medicine systems pharmacology database and analysis platform, DrugBank, GeneCards, on-line Mendelian inheritance in man database). Network relationship was constructed by software and analysis of related bioinformatics was conducted to explore the mechanism of the main drugs of Heidou Formula (Sojae Semen Nigrum, Portulacae Herba, Lycii Cortex, Phellodendri Chinensis Cortex, Dictamni Cortex, Bletillae Rhizoma) in the treatment of eczema. Results Six drugs with 89 ingredients and 47 drug-eczema intersection genes were selected from the databases. A network analysis of the data indicated that quercetin, stigmasterol and other components might be the main therapeutic components for eczema. Network analysis showed that the therapeutic process of Heidou Formula for eczema might be closely related to genes, such as interleukin 6, caspase 3, human recombinant protein P01 and tumor necrosis factor signaling pathway. Conclusion Heidou Formula for eczema is the result of the interaction of multiple drug components through multiple targets and pathways, which provides a theoretical basis for the clinical application of Heidou Formula for the treatment of eczema. It reveals some of the key genes and pathways in the treatment of eczema that has not yet been defined, and provides a reference for the subsequent drug application and clinical treatment.
