Abstract:Objective To evaluate the effect of 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine prescription in the treatment of plantar warts and its effect on peripheral blood CD4+CD25+CD127dim/-regulatory T cells (Treg). Methods A total of 200 patients with plantar warts admitted to the People’s Hospital of Langfang City, Hebei Province from January 2016 to December 2018 were divided into control group and treatment group according to random number table method, with 100 patients in each group. The control group was treated with 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy, and the treatment group was combined with traditional Chinese medicine prescription on the basis of the control group. The wart body score before and after treatment, clinical effect, CD4+CD25+CD127dim/-Treg changes in peripheral blood before and after treatment and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the number of warts, skin lesion area, score of squeeze pain in warts and total score of warts in the two groups were lower than before treatment, and those in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, with statistical significances (all P < 0.05). The effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of CD4+CD25+CD127dim/-Treg in peripheral blood of both groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, with statistical significances (all P < 0.05). The recurrence rate of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine has a more significant clinical effect in the treatment of plantar warts, which can effectively reduce the level of CD4+CD25+CD127dim/-Treg and inhibit the recurrence of the disease.
