Analysis of the problems and countermeasures in the teaching reform of infectious diseases in CPPT curriculum

Abstract:In order to meet the needs of the comprehensive reform of high medical education, Medical Board of Wuhan University has cooperated with the University of Chicago in recent years to implement the teaching mode of clinical pathology, pathophysiology and therapeutics. The teaching of infectious diseases has to be changed from the traditional form to a new form, and be integrated into the courses. Although some achievements have been made, some problems have been exposed during the course of curriculum reform. The problem mainly include that there is no appropriate textbook and case database, the teaching content is not updated timely; the teaching ability and comprehensive quality of teachers need to be further improved; some students participate in case discussions with less enthusiasm. In view of these problems, this article has carried on the ponder and the analysis, proposed the following solution: actively organized the compilation of relevant teaching materials and accelerated the establishment of clinical database in hospital; strengthen the teaching of emerging and emergent infectious diseases; strengthen the construction of teaching staff and attach importance to the cultivation of young teachers; adjust the teaching methods of discussion class to improve students’ enthusiasm and participation. It is of great significance to cultivate comprehensive medical students with good clinical thinking and independent learning ability.
