Abstract:Objective To know the situation of recessive truancy in food hygiene and nutrition in Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine (“our school” for short), and explore its influence on teaching effect of food toxicology. Methods Fifty undergraduates on May 6th 2016 of food hygiene and nutrition in our school were selected as research objects, the data of recessive truancy and teaching effect were collected, and its impact on teaching effect were analyzed. Results The incidence rate of recessive truancy was 87.76%, and there were no significant differences in the incidence rate of recessive truancy and the score of each factor among different genders, places of origin and college entrance examination volunteers (P > 0.05). There were no significant differences in grades and grade points between recessive truant students and non recessive truant students (P > 0.05). There was a significant negative correlation between learning environment and grade points (r = -0.343, P < 0.05), and learning habits and learning environment had the greatest effect on grade points. Conclusion Recessive truancy has a certain influence on teaching effect of “food toxicology”, especially on study habits and learning environment.
