Abstract:Objective To improve the quality of traditional Chinese medicine preparations in medical institutions through continuous quality improvement. Methods By using PDCA method, the causes of unqualified traditional Chinese medicine preparations in medical institutions were analyzed, and the improvement countermeasures were put forward and implemented. The unqualified proportion of traditional Chinese medicine preparations before the implementation of quality improvement (from January to December 2018) and after the implementation of quality improvement (from January to December 2019) was compared, and the effect of the improvement measures was evaluated. Results After improvement, the unqualified rate of traditional Chinese medicine preparation in 2019 was lower than that in 2018, and the difference was highly statistically significant (P < 0.01). The unqualified rate of microorganism limit examination decreased by 78.69%, and the unqualified rate of content decreased by 84.89%. Conclusion Through continuous quality improvement, the unqualified rate of traditional Chinese medicine preparation is effectively reduced, the work efficiency is improved, the quality consciousness is promoted, and the safety and effectiveness of the patient medication is ensured.
