Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of comfeel hydrocolloid dressing combined nursing intervention on the treatment of pediatric femoral shaft fractures with suspension traction. Methods From July 2015 to June 2018, 72 children with femoral shaft fractures who admitted Rugao People’s Hospital of Jiangsu Province were enrolled. The prospective study was used, according to the random number table method, the children were divided into intervention group and control group. The control group was given the treatment of suspension traction of the legs, and the intervention group was combined with comfeel hydrocolloid dressing and nursing intervention. The clinical efficacy, healing time, treatment-related indicators, and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The surative effect of children with femoral shaft fracture in the intervention group was significantly better than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The healing time and hospitalization time were significantly shorter than the control group, and the hospitalization expenses were significantly less than the control group (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). The incidence of pain and other complications in the intervention group were significantly lower than those in the control group. Conclusion Comfeel hydrocolloid dressing combined with nursing intervention can promote the rapid recovery of children with femoral shaft fracture and suspending traction, reduce the occurrence of pain and other complications, and improve clinical efficacy.
