Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of health education with feedback method on the acute radioactive vaginal mucosal reaction of elderly patients with cervical cancer after interstitial implantation followed by radiotherapy. Methods From August 2018 to September 2019, a total of 32 elderly patients with cervical cancer in the radiotherapy department of a tertiary first-class hospital underwent interstitial implantation followed by radiotherapy as the experimental group, and 32 elderly patients in the same department from June 2017 to July 2018, patients with cervical cancer who underwent interstitial implantation followed by radiotherapy served as the control group. The experimental group used the health education with feedback method, and the control group received conventional health education. The incidence of acute radioactive vaginal mucosal reaction was compared and the compliance of the prevention of acute radioactive vaginal mucosal reaction between the two groups were compared. Results It was judged 4 weeks after the after loading, the radioactive vaginal mucosal reaction of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The compliance of the experimental group to prevent acute radioactive vaginal mucosal reactions was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Health education with feedback method can effectively improve the management of the vagina of elderly patients undergoing radiotherapy after interstitial implantation followed by radiotherapy of cervical cancer, reduce the incidence of acute radioactive vaginal mucosal reactions, while improve the compliance of patients to prevent acute radioactive vaginal mucosal reactions.
