Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of Wenxin Granules combined with Amiodarone in the treatment of chronic heart failure (CHF) with atrial fibrillation in the elderly. Methods A total of 106 CHF patients with atrial fibrillation admitted to Sichuan Mianyang 404 Hospital from February 2017 to September 2019 were selected and divided into control group and study group by random number table method, with 53 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were treated with Amiodarone, while the study group was added with Wenxin Granules. The efficacy, cardiac function index, related serum indexes and adverse reactions during treatment were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the total clinical effective rate of the study group was higher than the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, left ventricular ejection fraction and cardiac index in two groups were higher than before treatment, and those in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, left ventricular end diastolic diameter, left ventricular end systolic diameter, C-reactive protein (CRP), cystatin (CysC), endothelin-1 (ET-1), and brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) in the two groups decreased compared with those before treatment, and those in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion Wenxin Granules combined with Amiodarone in the treatment of CHF with atrial fibrillation in the elderly has definite curative effect. It can effectively improve the cardiac function and serum CysC, BNP, CRP and ET-1 levels, and has a good safety.
