Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of alternating bed head elevation on the complications of neurosurgical mechanical ventilation patients. Methods Ninety patients with mechanical ventilation admitted to the Department of Neurosurgery, Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University from November 2018 to November 2019 were selected and divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional bed head elevation, and the observation group was given alternating bed head elevation. the improvement of lung function, compliance with altcrnating bed head elevation and incidence of complications in the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the arterial partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2) and oxygenation index (OI) of both groups were higher than those before intervention, and the inhaled oxygen concentration (FiO2) was lower than that before intervention. Moreover, the PaO2 and OI of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and FiO2 was lower than that of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05); after seven days of intervention in the observation group, the compliance of alternating bed head elevation was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistical significance (P < 0.05); the total incidence of complications after 7 days of intervention in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Alternating bed head elevation is used in patients with neurosurgical mechanical ventilation, which can improve lung function, improve bedside elevation compliance, and effectively reduce the incidence of complications. It is worth promoting.
