Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of thunder-fire moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture in the treatment of neurogenic bladder after suprasacral spinal cord injury. Methods A total of 60 cases of neurogenic bladder after suprasacral spinal cord injury patients from January 2017 to August 2019 in the Guangxi Liuzhou Iron and Steel Group Company Limitde Hospital were selected and divided into observation group and control group according to the method of random number table, with 30 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with bladder management. The observation group was treated with thunder-fire moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture, the control group was treated with electroacupuncture, once per day, 10 times was as one course, three courses were observed. Before and after treatment, the total effective rate, maximum flow rate, bladder volume, residual urine volume, daily urination frequency and subjective quality of life profile (SQLP) scores of the two groups were recorded and compared. Results After treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05). After treatment, the daily urination frequency, residual urine volume and SQLP scores in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the indexes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The maximum flow rate and bladder volume of two groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment, and the indexes in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Thunder-fire moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture was a safe and effective treatment for neurogenic bladder after suprasacral spinal cord injury, which has advantages in improving bladder functions and patients′ quality of life.
